An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated individual to become a key member of our Managements Account team, supporting both Clinical and Corporate Support Services within the Trust.

We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate individuals with excellent technical skills and drive to play a pivotal role within the Business and Value Directorate and help deliver CWP's financial strategy across the Trust.

This role offers opportunities for personal development whilst building relationships across the Trust.  Various support is available to further training with opportunities to also utilise One Finance, HFMA programmes and wider networks.  The department has achieved its Finance Skills Accreditation at level 1, and we are actively looking to complete level 2 accreditation this year, with an ambition to achieve level 3 accreditation.

The role will require hybrid working between the head office in Chester and home working each week.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will have responsibility for a range of budgets including budget setting and budgetary control in line with prescribed timescales.

You will be required to find the most effective way of aligning themselves with the trust services to ensure financial opportunities are supported and all financial risks and understood and managed effectively.  The post holder will act with a degree of autonomy in this objective.

It will be your responsibility for ensuring that accurate and timely financial information is provided to the Trust service managers alongside ensuring leadership and management of finance staff within their team, including ensuring training and development issues are identified and acted upon.

You will assist, and support the co-ordination, and completion of statutory and ad-hoc returns, including the development and completion of the Trust annual financial plan, in accordance with statutory and accounting guidelines and in line with deadlines.

We are a Department which strives for continuous improvement and you will  be encouraged to support the development of financial systems to remove manual processing and implement effective, accurate and timely reporting.
