The salary scale above has been agreed as part of the NHS Agenda for Change pay award for 2024/2025 and will be implemented in November 2024 backdated to 1st April 2024 where applicable.

Job overview
The Organisation Development (OD) Department plays a prominent role in supporting and enabling the delivery of the Workforce, Organisational Development and Education Strategy 2020-2030. The strategy is aligned to Hywel Dda University Health Board’s (HDUHB) Health and Care Strategy, ‘A Healthier Mid and West Wales’ and outlines the future vision for our workforce over the next 10 years.

Main duties of the job

- Lead the end-to-end planning, co-ordination & delivery of assessment centres designed to support Senior Leadership Talent Acquisition whether virtual or in-person
- Create & maintain detailed documentation including schedules, resources & feedback reports
- To assist/fully support development, implementation & maintenance of local TMSP / Leadership Development initiatives .
- To support & drive innovation & efficiencies across TMSP / Leadership Development processes
- To fully support/deputise multiple programmes/events with expert facilitation & communication skills

Working for our organisation
Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Our 11,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services for around 384,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales. We do this in partnership with our three local authorities and public, private and third sector colleagues, including our volunteers, through:
Four main hospitals: Bronglais General in Aberystwyth, Glangwili General in Carmarthen, Prince Philip in Llanelli and Withybush General in Haverfordwest;
Seven community hospitals: Amman Valley and Llandovery in Carmarthenshire; Tregaron, Aberaeron and Cardigan in Ceredigion; and Tenby and South Pembrokeshire Hospital Health and Social Care Resource Centre in Pembrokeshire;
48 general practices (four of which are managed practices), 47 dental practices (including three orthodontic), 99 community pharmacies, 44 general ophthalmic practices (43 providing Eye Health Examination Wales and 34 low vision services) and 17 domiciliary only providers and 11 health centres;
Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services;
Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.

Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of administering projects and programmes
- Experience of successful team working, engagement and collaborative working with multiple stakeholders
- Extensive previous experience of working in a busy, complex environment with sensitive and confidential information
- Experience of providing facilitation, delivery and evaluation of training or development programmes
- Experience of collating, analysing, evaluating and presenting data from a range of sources including databases
- Experience of producing high quality content – attention to detail and accuracy
Desirable criteria
- Experience of project management
- Experience of designing training or interventions (e.g. programmes, workshops)
- Understanding of a range of analytical techniques, software and tools for data manipulation; modelling; and interpretation
Qualifications and Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Educated to Degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent experience
- Understanding of programme management processes
- Understanding of Organisational Development Activities.
- Knowledge of learning theories and blended learning approaches
- IT literate with a comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft office, packages including word, excel, power point, outlook & teams
Desirable criteria
- OD or LD qualification or demonstrate equivalence
- Accreditation for tools/psychometrics (e.g. 360 feedback, action learning facilitation, MBTI).
- ILM Level 5 Coaching qualification or willing to work towards

- Ability to be flexible to meet the needs of the service
- Ability to travel across the Health Board area
