Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Operational Services and Delivery directorate to support the Programme Management Office and Planning Teams at Velindre Cancer Centre. These teams are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and efficient Business Support Officer to work within the Planning, Performance, Programme Management and Service Improvement functions on a range of workstreams. The post holder will be fundamental to coordinating and supporting a wide range of projects, systems and processes to help the Divisional Management team to achieve Trust and Divisional Objectives.

Main duties of the job

This is a key position in which you will be responsible for assisting the Head of Programmes and Service Improvement, Planning Manager and Service Improvement Manager in delivery of their priorities, as well as delivering efficient, effective, and high-quality project support services to a range of work programmes.

The post holder will frequently be the first point of contact for key stakeholders and will therefore need exemplary communication skills to ensure that a positive impression is maintained at all times.

It is necessary to use your well-developed organisation skills and professional abilities to keep structure of the work programmes, maintain project documentation, report project progress, highlighting issues and exceptions.

We are looking for a proactive self-starter with the ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritise.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
