Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work within an NHS Laundry  based in Swansea. We are looking to recruit a Laundry Section Leader to work in the laundry site based in Llansamlet, Swansea.

The role will suit an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is keen to work in a busy production environment that processes  linen for Hospitals and Health care premises across West Wales.

Although the role will be based at Swansea Laundry there will be a requirement to work on a rotational basis at our Laundry Distribution Hub in Carmarthen.

Main duties of the job

The Laundry Section Leader will be required to be able to manage all work sections of the production area.

Duties will include the management of staff and resources within their assigned section to achieve optimum production levels of service, as prescribed by the laundry management.

The post holder will assume responsibility for monitoring the quality of work produced on the section. The post holder shall also be instrumental in motivating staff and will assist in identifying and providing support in the training and development of production staff

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
