Service Management Support Officer
Band 4
Digital Health and Care Wales is an ambitious organisation created by Welsh Government to lead on the digital transformation of health and care. It builds on the digital architecture and national services put in place by the NHS Wales Informatics Service over the past decade.
The organisation will lead on large-scale developments that make a significant difference to the people of Wales as well as to health and care professionals, such as expansion of the digital patient record and the creation of a National Data Resource. To manage the service support provided to the Welsh Health IT Service Management team, to ensure the provision of efficient services to all staff and service users.
To hold lead responsibility for Health & Safety for the Welsh Health IT Service Management team.
To manage the systems in place within DHCW and to promote awareness and provide guidance on policies, processes and procedures.
To support National IT Service Management Boards and act as point of contact.
To support & deputise for the Office Manager.
Main duties of the job
To manage the provision of support services ensuring a consistent approach across all IT Service Management Boards. Prioritise work in order that all aspects of the services are fully functional, timely and responsive. This can include carrying out administrative functions to support technical functions.
To manage administrative requirements and assist Service Management Leads within the organisation. To coordinate diary appointments, arrange meetings, communicating with a wide range of colleagues, service users and stakeholders, including the organising, administration and recording of minutes for regular IT Service Management Boards.
To provide support to Service Management Specialists and Leads in the development and deployment of Transition and Service Level Management arrangements.
Regularly use a range of IT applications to create reports, progress reports and maintain information systems.
Fire Warden Duties.
To provide Reception and Telephone cover when required.
To deputise for the Office Manager as required.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
