We are looking for a senior content developer to support the creation and growth of our patient facing digital platforms and patient portal. You should be a creative, motivated and self-driven individual who has the capacity to engage with staff, external stakeholders, families and young people in order to influence the delivery and promotion of the services.

This is a trust wide role, and although you will have a local base, the post requires flexibility and travel across the Cambridgeshire Community Services footprint.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will support the delivery and development of all trust-wide digital platforms and associated interdependent products in line with the organisation’s tactical and strategic priorities. 

They will create written and visual digital content as directed through digital work plans, be responsible for the delivery of specific content to support digital products as well as approving and overseeing web content, animation and film scripts developed by wider team, streamlining and finalising in preparation for final sign-off.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Support the content and product development of trust-wide digital platforms as directed by Digital Content Manager.

Create written and visual digital content as directed through digital work plans

Delivery of specific content to support digital products, for example, digital referral forms.

Take responsibility for approving and overseeing web content, animation and film scripts developed by wider team, streamlining and finalising in preparation for final sign-off.

Deliver in-person and online multi-agency sessions to understand content requirements and translate this into deliverable web and digital content.

Development and delivery of training programmes, workshops and events that will support staff and wider audiences to be competent and confident with digitalisation and support future innovation.

Support the management of all trust-wide content management systems (CMS) ensuring sites are monitored and updated.

To support and manage workflow and allocation of digital content delivery, monitoring progress and working to tight deadlines.

To support delivery of robust governance of allocation, creation and review of digital content.

Work with the Coproduction Leads to ensure that service users are included in the design and development of services which will support their individual access and improve long-term outcomes.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to postgraduate level or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of continued professional development relevant to leadership
Desirable criteria
  • PRINCE 2 Project management qualification or equivalent

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Evidence of writing web content for websites, blogs etc
  • Experience using Content Management systems
  • Experience of engaging with a wide range of stakeholders in person and online
  • Experience of a leadership role/s in statutory, voluntary or private sector
Desirable criteria
  • Experience working for the NHS

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to prioritise and respond flexibly to frequent changing demands
  • Accepts responsibility and accountability for own work and recognises the limits of own authority within the role
  • Excellent IT skills and an ‘eye for design’
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of HTML, SEO and web analytics
