An exciting opportunity is available within the Urology Department for the right person!

We are seeking a highly motivated Registered Nurse to join the clinical team. This post will promote the holistic needs of patient care for Urological patients ensuring the highest standard of care and support.

However, personality and commitment is essential so full training and support will be given to the right applicant.

Main duties of the job

The Urology service is looking for a nurse who will be involved in all aspects of Urological clinical care.

An intrinsic member of the Urology service providing specialist urological nursing alongside the Urology Consultants and Urology Nursing Team.

Provide advice, support and information to nursing staff, associated healthcare professionals and members of the primary healthcare team.

Provide a high quality and effective professional nursing service to patients and their relatives / carers with urological conditions, based upon current evidence of best practice.

The Post Holder is responsible for the management of a defined caseload.

Essential criteria
  • Registered Nurse
  • Evidence of relevant post registration qualifications
  • Evidence of continuous personal and professional development
Desirable criteria
  • Demonstrates dissemination of own knowledge to others

Experience

Desirable criteria
  • Experience at Band 5 level or equivalent to include relevant experience in Urology services
  • Evidence of clinical supervision
  • Evidence of leadership qualities

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Awareness/experience of clinical audit & research
  • Experience of working effectively both independently and as part of a team
Desirable criteria
  • Demonstrates confidence and motivation

Skills
