We are looking for an enthusiastic, well-organised and committed nurse who is passionate about high standards of quality patient care for patients and families.
The opportunity has arisen for a position within the Pre-Registration nursing team, sitting in the wider the Practice Development Team
Main duties of the job
Working collaboratively with Lead Clinical Educator & Clinical Facilitators for Pre-Registration delivering training, education and to support the practice & professional development of all student nurses and trainee nursing associates, related to the care of patients within all Division, in accordance with national and local guidelines & ensure that they are competent & fit for purpose.
You will also work as part of the Practice Development Team to facilitate training & education to clinical staff Trust wide, ensuring that staff are competent to deliver safe and effective care.
This is an essential post for nurse education in clinical practice and a fundamental requirement of the role is consistent and effective role-modelling and leadership for nurses and other professional groups within the Division and Trust wide.
You must be a registered Nurse with a passion for nurturing and teaching, consistent strong values, be able to influence change through persistence, diplomacy and vision.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- NMC Registered Nurse
- Teaching qualification - accredited mentorship module/SSSA qualification
- Credible clinical role model who is committed to improvement of standards and patient care.
Desirable criteria
- Leadership Course
- Completed or undertaking a degree in Nursing/Health Studies
- Post Graduate Cert in Education
Experience
Essential criteria
- Evidence of a high level of nursing practice - uses evidence based practice to support patient care delivery.
- Credible clinical role model who is committed to improving standards and patient care.
- Evidence of leadership qualities.
- Demonstrates record of achievement in changing and developing practice.
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of teaching experience both informally and formally
- Demonstration of autonomous practice.
- Evidence of networking across professional boundaries.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Understanding of Quality Governance and its application
- Working knowledge of Trust and National Pre-Registration initiatives
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- NMC Standards of proficiency
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of previous teaching experience both informal and forma

- Evidence of being a Reflective Practitioner
