An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated person to join our Trust within the Care Quality Team.

You will be a self-starter with a passion for improving standards of care including the use of digital platforms.

Main duties of the job

  • Collaborate closely with the Clinical Quality Digital Project Lead to support the development of the Trust's ward accreditation programme incorporating the voice of patients, students and staff with a pivotal role in the assessment process.
  • Work closely with the Clinical Quality Digital Project Lead in recognising digital designs and platforms to enhance future clinical processes and workflows.
  • Support the collaborative working with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful embedding of knowledge and information systems and champion a clinically driven digital culture to ensure engagement.
  • Assist with the identification, evaluation, assessment and scoping of new technologies to support care delivery clinically. Support the continuous drive and implementation of new and existing digital systems to optimise the improvement of clinical processes with focus on patient outcomes and efficiency. 
  • Ensure that training, education and development needs of the students, staff and clinical areas are available and fit for purpose utilising innovative teaching styles to enhance skills, optimising and standardising high levels of patient care delivery.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • NMC, AHP, Midwifery Registration
  • Experience within an acute Trust
  • Higher Education Studies
  • Teaching qualification - accredited mentorship module/SSSA qualification
Desirable criteria
  • Leadership course
  • Digital Leadership course

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Evidence of a high level of nursing practice - uses evidence based practice to support patient care delivery
  • Credible clinical role model who is committed to improving standards and patient care
  • Evidence of leadership qualities
  • Demonstrates record of achievement in changing and developing practice
Desirable criteria
  • Band 6 or comparable experience to include completion of the senior band 5 competency pack
  • Demonstration of autonomous practice
  • Evidence of networking across professional boundaries

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Understanding of Quality Governance and its application
  • Working knowledge of Trust and National initiatives including a knowledge of digital platforms
  • Understanding of National and local guidance on Patient Safety around NEWS/PEWS
  • Understand and have experience of change management to support the delivery of high quality care
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
Desirable criteria
  • Understanding of the functionality of Electronic Patient Record systems
  • Evidence of previous teaching experience both informal and formal
