Are you enthusiastic and motivated looking to join a busy IT Department as an IT Servicedesk Analyst, if so this could be just the job for you. The role will be based in Peterborough .  The main focus of the role is to log all calls coming into the IT team and resolve any 1st line  NHS Office related faults & queries as well as password and permission related issues.

The IT support team consists of 27 members.  We provide Servicedesk, 1st, 2nd and 3rd line functions of 'all things' digital.  We adopt a great flexible working ethic with working at home/office and at remote sites.

Our support hours are 8am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday.

Once fully trained, there will be an opportunity to work from home for some of the time

Main duties of the job

You will:

•    Provide 1st line IT support services to users of the Trust’s information systems.
•    Log all incoming calls on our Ivanti call logging system
•    Take part in the Helpdesk support rota to cover the IT Business support hours.
•    Resolution of NHS Office faults and queries..

You must have good knowledge of using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Applications as well as having excellent attention to detail and quality of work.

As this is a service driven role, experience of working  in a team, excellent communication skills and attention to detail are essential qualities required. Knowledge and experience IT service management will be an advantage.

Equally beneficial (but not essential) would be any experience of working in a hospital or healthcare environment.

Education & Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • GCSE Maths & English or equivalent - Grade C/5 or above
  • IT/Keyboard skills Qualification (ECDL, NVQ, iTiL)
  • 2 * A Levels or equivalent

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working in a customer service environment
  • Experience of working in a Helpdesk/centre environment
  • Using computer systems for data input and customer contact
  • Experience supporting various computer hardware and software configurations
Desirable criteria
  • Experience in stock control

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Good IT skills
  • Good knowledge of Windows and Office 365
