Become a Vital Part of Ward A4's Housekeeping Excellence!
Upper GI and Vascular (General Surgery) Ward A4 has an exciting part-time opportunity for a dedicated housekeeper to join our team. This role is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the ward, serving as a vital link between the ward and hospital support services.
Working pattern 15 hours per week worked over Wednesday and Friday.
Main duties of the job
As a housekeeper, your responsibilities will include:
- Meeting and greeting new patients and visitors, providing them with updated information about patient flow and requirements for fluid and nutrition.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and tidiness throughout the ward, reporting any issues to the senior nurse.
- Ensuring the ward remains orderly at all times and handling emergencies, spots, spills, and floods promptly.
- Cleaning specialist equipment according to local policies, including drip stands, O2 and suction units, crash trolleys, ECG machines, and infusion pumps.
