Education and Qualifications
Essential criteria
- NMC Registered Nurse
Experience
Desirable criteria
- Experience of teaching junior staff
- Experience of supporting/mentoring junior staff
- Experience of shift management in the absence of senior colleagues
- Experience of audit processes.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Understanding of nursing care delivery
Desirable criteria
- Management of acute Cardiology patients
- Understanding of discharge planning
Key Skills
Essential criteria
- Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care
- Problem solving skills
Desirable criteria
- IV medication administration
- Peripheral cannulation skills
- ECG recording and interpretation
Other
Essential criteria
- Awareness and respect for colleagues, patients and relatives cultural, religious and emotional needs and beliefs
- Able to demonstrate behaviours consistent with the Trusts Values and Behaviours
- Be prepared to work across sites as and when required
- Professional appearance & behaviour
