Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Cancer Services Admin Team.   We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our small but very busy and dedicated Admin Team. 

Knowledge and experience of NHS 18 Week Patient Pathway Targets is essential for this role.  The role will include the use of Patient Administration and Cancer software packages to capture and monitor data.

The successful candidate will have previous staff line management of Administration/Secretarial staff.

Main duties of the job

To support and line manage Cancer Services reception and secretarial teams within the Clinical Business Unit to ensure robust and effective pathway processes are in place to achieve and maintain local and national performance targets.

Education & Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to A level or evidence of equivalent recognised qualification
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ 3 Business and Administration or equivalent experience

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working in the NHS in an administration role
  • Experience of using PAS, databases, e-track Anglia Ice, Somerset, MS office and Excel Spreadsheets
  • Previous Staff Line Management of Administration/Secretarial Staff
  • Knowledge and experience of NHS 18 Week RTT and Cancer 2WW performance targets
  • Understanding of clinical pathways
Desirable criteria
  • Data Quality Experience

Knowledge

  • Knowledge and understanding of Data Protection, Patient Confidentiality and Information Governance principles

  • Can demonstrate good standards of written and verbal communication, at all levels
