Job overview

This role is hosted by North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust but will work to deliver the programme for all patients within CPICS.

It will compliment and work with the Alliance Transformation Teams to develop approaches that are ICS aligned, but locally tailored.

The post will also provide a key point of contact to the East of England Cancer Alliance Network to ensure clear lines of communication and joint working.

 

Main duties of the job

Lead the Targeted Lung Health Check Programme across Cambridge and Peterborough Integrated Care System (CPICS) the role purpose: 

·       Through excellent project management skills, ensure that projects are well organised and rigorously delivered at pace.

·       Lead on the implementation of the targeted lung health check programme within CPICS by supporting and informing the targeting of resources, monitoring, implementation and evaluation of the tasks by providing high quality support including complex information and analysis, communications and stakeholder management, this will be the first phase of a larger programme of TLHCS across the geographies.

·       The outcomes of the TLHC are key to further programme delivery, which will include establishing the TLHC pathway, which will run seamlessly from community to secondary care safety netting patients for follow up, it will include a robust diagnostic pathway establishing access to low dose CT.

·       Ensure accurate and open communication and co-ordination with a range of organisations and individuals, researching and drafting correspondence and papers and ensuring the management of specific tasks, lead reporting and analysis across a range of specialties, functions and projects.

Essential criteria
  • Educated to masters level or equivalent of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area
  • NHS Management / Leadership Qualification
Desirable criteria
  • Project Management Qualification / Proven Experience

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Extensive knowledge of specialist area, acquired through post-graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to master’s level equivalent.
Desirable criteria
  • Evidence of post qualifying and continuing professional development
  • Must have an understanding of the background to and aims of current healthcare policy and appreciate the implications of this on engagement.

Key Skills

Essential criteria
  • Must be able to provide and receive highly complex, sensitive or contentious information, negotiate with senior stakeholders on difficult and controversial issues, and present complex and sensitive information to large and influential groups.
  • Ability to negotiate on difficult and controversial issues including performance and change.
  • Working knowledge of O365 Microsoft Office with intermediate keyboard skills.
  • Previously responsible for a budget, involved in budget setting and working knowledge of financial processes.
