Library Lead - Norfolk Community

Band 6

Job overview

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a motivated, independent information professional to manage and deliver library services to Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust.

As our Library Lead for Norfolk Community you will act as library lead and main point of contact for CPFT Libraries in their service delivery to NCHC staff.

Main duties of the job

Working with staff at our Fulbourn and Peterborough locations, you will establish and deliver a comprehensive range of knowledge and evidence based resources and services that will meet the needs of a broadly spread community-based NHS Trust.

This will include offering staff access to the resources and expertise of the existing library services in Fulbourn and Peterborough as well as developing bespoke services to meet the needs of Norfolk-based staff both at a distance and in person.

The post holder will support the Knowledge, Library and Information Manager in the development and delivery of the Library Strategy and the development of Norfolk-specific operational and implementation plans, as well as acting as the library’s lead and point of contact for the management and administration of budget, resources, services, and statistics relating to Norfolk library services.

Working for our organisation

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is a health and social care organisation dedicated to providing high-quality care with compassion to improve the health and wellbeing of the people we care for, as well as supporting and empowering them to lead a fulfilling life.

Our clinical teams deliver many NHS services, not only via inpatient and primary care settings, but also within the community. These services include children's, adult and older people's mental health, forensic and specialist mental health, learning disabilities, primary care and liaison psychiatry, substance misuse, social care, research and development.

To achieve our goal, we look to recruit high-calibre candidates who share our vision and values. As an equal opportunities employer, we encourage applications from all sectors of the community, particularly from under-represented groups including people with long term conditions and members of our ethnic minority and LGBTQ+ communities.

Regrettably, we cannot offer sponsorship for all our job roles. If you apply for a role that we cannot offer sponsorship for, unfortunately, your application form will be rejected from the process.
