As the Deputy Programme Director: Hinchingbrooke Hospital Redevelopment Programme, you will be pivotal in guiding the redevelopment of the Hinchingbrooke Hospital site. This role involves driving the implementation of a new hospital model, overseeing core programme workstreams such as Operations, Workforce, Digital, and Transformation. Your leadership will ensure the programme meets the highest standards of governance, public accountability, and quality benchmarks, delivering substantial benefits to the community.

Main duties of the job

  • Lead the development of a Target Operating Model for the new Hinchingbrooke Hospital.
  • Facilitate collaboration between clinical and operational teams for seamless service integration.
  • Oversee and provide strategic leadership for Service Transformation, Workforce, Digital, Operations, and Communications workstreams.
  • Ensure alignment of the Target Operating Model with New Hospital Programme standards and NHS sustainability goals.
  • Represent the Trust at various levels and lead negotiations to deliver the Trust’s redevelopment schemes.

  • Develop and implement project plans and schedules.
  • Oversee the procurement of resources and services.

Job Duties:

  • Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to integrate project outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings and briefings.
  • Report on project milestones and deliverables to senior management.

Essential criteria
  • Educated to masters level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level to the Deputy Director post in a relevant field
Desirable criteria
  • Formal Programme Management qualification

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Proven experience in delivering successful major service transformation within / supporting capital programmes
  • Significant experience of managing multiple costs and budgets throughout project lifecycles
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of developing successful business cases to enable service transformation to time, quality, and budget
  • Experience of delivering successful business cases at OBC and FBC stages for significant and strategic developments
