We are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Psychologist to join us, supporting our mental health advice, support and access team within Just One Number, our single point of access.

Main duties of the job

As a Clinical Psychologist in Just One Number, you will work together with the clinical lead to develop and implement a Clinical Associate Psychologist (CAP) pathway. This will ensure effective implementation and on-going delivery of pathways and protocols to maintain a continued focus on mental health and wellbeing.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

1. The post holder will oversee, monitor, mentor and lead on the CAPs day to day work and progression in the workplace. This will include oversight of any triage or Single Session Interventions.

2. Provide and lead clinical group and individual supervision to the Clinical Associate Psychologists in Just One Number as per training programme requirements, working closely with UEA to support the curriculum development and requirements of implementing the CAP workforce/ trainee clinical psychologists

3. To co-lead on supervision and support to the wider Just One Number advice, support and access team through group and individual supervision.

4. To provide advice, support and consultation in matters relating to infant, child or Yong Person’s Mental Health, to the Just One Number team.

5. To provide advice and consultation on psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues, parents/carers and other professionals. Preparing, delivering and overseeing staff training, in order to improve the delivery of evidence-based interventions.

6. To work alongside the Just One Number Clinical Lead to lead the mental health front door.

7.  To support the team to assist families through a range of methods including text message, virtual and phone contacts to assess the needs of children and young people.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • • Relevant Degree
  • • Clinical Psychology Doctoral or Certificate of equivalence
  • • Evidence of continuous professional development
Desirable criteria
  • • Leadership qualification
  • • Post-doctoral qualification in relevant therapeutic approaches

Experience

Essential criteria
  • • Clinical experience in children and young people’s mental health.
  • • Experience in providing supervision and consultation to non-psychologist colleagues
  • • Demonstrate experience of implementing specialist clinical practice and knowledge and demonstrating effect on clinical outcomes
  • • Undertaking a clinical role at a specialist level including multi disciplinary working, safeguarding, undertaking complex assessments, planning and evaluating care packages, and responsibility for the management of a caseload
Desirable criteria
  • • Understanding of education pathways for professional development
  • • Understanding of the CAPS role

Skills

Essential criteria
  • • Assessment, signposting, advice and limited / brief intervention skills
  • • Clinical/safeguarding risk assessment skills
  • • Ability to analyse and interpret data and information in order to make decisions, provide reports, make recommendations and changes
  • • Ability to provide clinical supervision to a range of practitioners
