We are looking for an enthusiastic band 3 administrator to join the CAMHS admin team based at Brookside Family Consultation Clinic in Cambridge.  The successful candidate will need to be calm, patient, organised and able to work autonomously and within a team. You will need to have good communication skills and be a competent typist, as this role involves drafting reports and letters, as well as booking appointments for our clinicians and helping to maintain our waiting lists.   

You will be proactive in solving problems and queries and you will see these through to completion.

The ideal candidate will have a strong team work ethic, sense of accountability, friendly, positive, professional outlook, accompanied by an ability to work under pressure at times.

To support you, we will provide full training and supervision, and we will commit to aiding your development within the role. This post also offers hybrid working.

The post holder will help provide a comprehensive administrative service within the clinic, with a strong focus on supporting the Neurodevelopmental Team. Responsibilities will include:

  • Creating meeting agendas and taking minutes
  • Typing and sending correspondence
  • Maintaining patient waiting lists
  • Sending and receiving documents to support patients' referrals
  • Arranging appointments as patients move through their treatment pathway

The applicant should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to work under occasional pressure. We will provide full training on our bespoke software and procedures, we offer opportunities for further development and training.

  • Word processing of all forms of correspondence, reports and summaries that are required by the team.
  • Undertake diary management for clinicians and/or managers, as required.
  • Organise team meetings, take, transcribe and distribute minutes accordingly.
  • Organise clinics and associated appointments for clinics, using appropriate database systems to manage work.
  • Provide operational support to colleagues.
  • Field requests from staff and service user in accordance with Trust procedures.
  • Inputting and updating service user information and service user/team activity on computerised information systems, creating service user notes where necessary and according to policy.
  • Maintain electronic patient records, ensuring they are kept up to date at all times.
  • Ensure good customer service by providing a professional and effective telephone service, taking accurate messages, and providing information and signposting as requested and appropriate.
