Job overview

Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow (Higher ST6+ / Senior Post CCT) in Plastic Surgery (Microsurgery).

This post is available asap for 6 months in the first instance.

Main duties of the job

The department of Plastic Surgery provides for the management of all aspects of plastic surgery including an emergency workload. It provides specialist surgery including breast reconstruction, head and neck cancers, complex hand surgery and cleft lip and palate surgery.

We are looking for a trainee with an interest in pursuing a career in plastic surgery, and this post would be an ideal position for a trainee who has plastic surgery experience and wishes to further their experience.

Please note that these posts do not carry Postgraduate Dean’s approval or training recognition.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of application is required.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
