CUH is looking for reliable and hardworking individuals to deliver administrative services across all areas of the Trust.
To help achieve this we have a centralised process in place designed to match your skills and experience to a suitable role. Specific tasks and responsibilities will vary depending on the role. You will be a key member of the team providing high quality, comprehensive administrative support to facilitate the smooth running of the department. We would love to hear from you if you are able to communicate well with people at levels, have previous experience working in an administrative role, the ability to use a range of Microsoft packages and are able prioritise workload to meet a deadline whilst working in a fast paced environment.
A range of training and educational opportunities are available for all staff, designed to support personal development and career progression. The Trust has launched a brand new administrative academy induction programme designed specifically to support and orientate new staff with the essential information and skills needed for a smooth transition in joining the CUH family.

Main duties of the job
You will provide high quality administrative support to the department.
Tasks will include typing, reception duties, customer service, maintaining databases, booking appointments/meeting, filing, organising and booking meeting rooms and general administrative support to the Department.
You will play a key role in the efficient day to day activities of the department. You will often be the first point of contact for the department and will be required to communicate in a professional and courteous manner.
You will answer general queries and explain information relating to the department.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to secondary school level or equivalent
Desirable criteria
- NVQ in Business and Administration or equivalent experience
Experience
Essential criteria
- Previous experience of office / administrative or similar relevant role
- Previous experience of working in a role that requires effective interaction with people
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience of administrative functions such as diary management, appointment booking, taking minutes of meetings or transcribing notes
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Knowledge and experience of using I.T programmes, e.g. Microsoft office especially outlook, word, excel and PowerPoint
Skills

- Able to take responsibility for own work and work without direct supervision where appropriate
- Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines under pressure
- Able to work using own initiative where applicable
- Evidence of ability to communicate at all levels clearly and concisely both oral and written
