A weekly operating list is included in the job plan and where necessary support for operating development provided. This would be negotiated based on the skills of the applicant mapped to the requirements for the service. The urogynaecology services is supported by MDT meetings.

We are delighted to offer an opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious individual to join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to the provision of high quality care.

The post holder will have experience in Obstetrics and gynaecology with an interest in Urogynaecology. They may also have additional experience in other specialist areas to meet the needs of the department.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join a friendly and progressive Obstetrics and Gynaecology department. The post has arisen consequent to consultant expansion. This is a new role to support the existing urogynaecology service.

The post is to enhance the ongoing work in developing the urogynaecological services within the Trust to deliver a high-quality patient experience with timely access to urogynaecology expertise.

The major part of this job is dedicated to urogynaecology. However, an obstetric commitment could be accommodated and would be advantageous for the Trust in the management of OASIS.

Gynaecology commitments would include a gynaecology clinic and urogynaecology clinic with an alternate week urodynamics clinic. A weekly operating list is included in the job plan and where necessary support for development provided. This would be negotiated based on the skills of the applicant mapped to the requirements for the service. The urogynaecology services is supported by MDT meetings.

The consultant will participate in a separate Obstetrics and gynaecology hot week rota, with a frequency of 1 in 11. Emergency (out of hour) commitments would cover both obstetrics and gynaecology, with a frequency of 1 in 13, but this is negotiable depending on the skills of the candidate.
