Are you passionate about patient safety? Are you able to communicate compassionately with families and support them through an incident investigation process?
Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust has created a Patient Safety Support Officer role to work alongside the Family Liaison Officer (FLO) in supporting families and loved ones through the difficult process of inquests and investigations into serious incidents or serious complaints.

The post holder will be expected to cover for the FLO at the Patient Experience, Engagement and Caring meeting as required to share factual reports, case studies and best practice guidance to enable Southern Health to improve its communication with families.
The Patient Safety Support Officer will have a co-ordination role within the Patient Safety Team to ensure there is a prompt response from the team to requests from the Care Groups to facilitate Debriefs and After-Action Reviews at short notice. Also supporting the team by co-ordinating papers, reports and representation from the team at key meetings.
