Job overview

Come and join our exciting and dynamic Integrated Children and Young People’s Therapies Team

Band 7 Clinical Co-ordinator for Speech and Language Therapy provision in Additionally Resourced Provisions

We are recruiting a number of Speech and Language Therapists to join our Integrated Children and Young People’s Therapies Service in Buckinghamshire.  These posts are a result of exciting and innovative service developments following the recent recommissioning of the service in Buckinghamshire. The service is broadening it's offer to include speech and language therapy support to children and young people in the Additionally Resourced Provision settings in Buckinghamshire.

Main duties of the job

Some of these settings support children with  Developmental Language Disorder and some support children with Social Communication needs. You will provide clinical and managerial support to the team working with both caseloads across all the settings and hold a caseload of your own within the settings.

The Speech and Language Therapy Service forms part of an Integrated Children and Young People’s Therapies Service working closely with Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy as well as wider children and young people’s services including Health Visitors, Community Nurses for Children with a Learning Disability, Community Paediatricians and School Nurses.

This is a jointly commissioned service across health and education that will give you the opportunity to be supported as you develop your speech and language therapy skills to support the delivery of high quality, evidence based interventions for children and young people in Buckinghamshire.

We have an excellent website which provides information and support to families and people working with children in Buckinghamshire and wider.
