Come and join our exciting and dynamic Children and Young People’s Integrated Therapies Team
We are recruiting an Occupational Therapist to join the Children and Young People’s Integrated Therapies Service in Buckinghamshire and oversee the development, delivery and coordination of a core training offer in collaboration with partner services in the Local Area. You will work closely with the CYP Therapies multidisciplinary team of professionals, including Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, and Physiotherapists, and external stakeholders such as educational psychologist, specialist teachers and educational psychologists to ensure that the therapies core training offer is delivered effectively. The core training offer will be designed to support whole-setting approaches and a place-based approach to early identification and intervention for a range of therapy needs for settings, parents/carers and partner agencies.
This post will work closely with a training Speech and Language Therapist as a result of additional investment following the recommissioning of the service.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Essential criteria
- BSc OT or Dip COT Professional registration with HCP. Member of BAOT/COT or equivalent for professional indemnity. Member of Specialist Section of the College of Occupational Therapy e.g. CYPF Evidence of Post Graduate CPD
- Registered member of the Royal College of Speech And Language Therapists
- Recognised Speech & Language Therapy degree qualification or equivalent
- Health Professions Council Licence to Practice
- Evidence of continuing professional development and personal development.
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working in a range of clinical settings to include community and hospital. Evidence of good presentation skills Evidence of supervision of others
- Evidence of specialist knowledge/skills resulting from clinical experience and CPD.
- Experience of producing and delivering training packages to a variety of audiences
- Clinical experience in a variety of settings.
- Demonstrates knowledge of specialist SLT assessment tools relevant to the client group
- Demonstrates knowledge of a range of appropriate therapeutic intervention
- Demonstrates awareness of the roles of other professionals
- Demonstrates awareness of standards of record keeping
- Able to maintain intense concentration
