Job overview
Amersham Adult Community Healthcare Team is delighted to announce a Referral Administrator position.
The post is to provide administrative and clerical support to the integrated care teams referral access point. This requires accurate registration of referrals and allocation to locality based teams following clinical triage. Maintenance of confidentiality in respect of all patients and staff information from all sources.
Main duties of the job
An administrative assistant is required to provide telephone and data system support to the Adult Community Healthcare Team based at Amersham Hospital.
The successful candidate will be computer literate and able to use excel and word. Candidates must have an excellent telephone manner.
The team delivers services to patients in their own homes and the administrator acts as first point of contact for service users and referrers to the service. You will enjoy the challenge of working in a busy environment and have the ability to stay calm under pressure.
The team provides a 7 day service and therefore the successful applicant will be required to work occasional weekends and bank holidays.

EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria
- Experience of working in an office environment either in paid or voluntary capacity Experience of dealing with public on the telephone Experience participating in a research or audit project

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Essential criteria
- English language GCSE or equivalent at C grade or above
- Willingness to undertake professional development training as required (this will be funded by the Trust)
Desirable criteria
- ECDL
- Moderate knowledge of word, excel and data base skills
