We have an exciting opportunity for a Radiopharmacy Technician to join our expanding radiopharmacy team consisting of Healthcare Scientists, a Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technicians. The role involves production of radiopharmaceuticals under an MHRA Specials Licence and assisting in the provision of the service.

Radiopharmacy dispensing is done on a rotational basis and requires a 6.00am start but with a 7am/7.15am start on non-dispensing days. The role will include weekend work and late shifts as required.

Main duties of the job
- To take part in the preparation of radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. This will require a start time of 6.00AM for some elements of the role on a rotational basis.
- To communicate effectively with individuals within radiopharmacy, Quality Control (QC), Regional Quality Control Laboratory (RQCL), external customers and contractors.
- To develop own skills and knowledge and contribute to the development of others.

Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria
- Qualified Pharmacy technician or Science Graduate.
Desirable criteria
- Training in Good Manufacturing Practice.
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working in a team.
- IT experience with spreadsheets and databases.
Desirable criteria
- Radiopharmacy and/or aseptic dispensing.
- Good manufacturing practice.
- Experience of working in a pharmacy environment.
- Aseptic product release.
- 2 years GMP experience.
Skills and Abilities
Essential criteria
- Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal).
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Good practical skills with the ability to work accurately and neatly.
- Good attention to detail.
- Good IT skills.
Aptitudes

- Be able to speak fluent English to an appropriate standard.
