Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Static Band 6 Physiotherapist within our burns and plastics team. North Bristol NHS Trust is an adult Major Trauma Centre, a leading tertiary centre for all aspects of plastics surgery and a burns unit.

Main duties of the job
You will treat patients in an inpatient or outpatient setting following burn injury or plastic surgery including major trauma and orthoplastics patients, this will include supporting burns patients on our intensive care unit. Working alongside the multi-disciplinary team you will assess, treat and plan discharge for a caseload of patients within this area.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The main roles of this post will be
- To be an autonomous physiotherapy practitioner providing a high standard of service in the Burns and Plastics service, to both in and outpatients.
- Access to advice/support from a more senior physiotherapist is available most of the time
- To provide outpatient physiotherapy management of burns to patients and support/ advise regional therapy departments in their continued care
- To work as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team
- To provide teaching and training to Health Care Professionals, students, patients and carers
- To contribute to weekend and on call rotas
