Paediatric Nurse – Children's Outpatients
Are you looking for a change? Do you want to work as part of a dedicated and hard working outpatients team to assist in caring for children with complex and long term condition then outpatients is the area for you!
We run numerous consultant led clinics, as well as carrying out a number of nursing tests, such as sweat tests, endocrine tests, chemotherapy, blood & platelet transfusions. As well as spirometry, asthma reviews, epi-pen training and allergy testing. We also have a phlebotomy service and offer venepuncture and cannulation training as well as the chemotherapy care course.

Main duties of the job
To provide high quality nursing care and participate in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the care needs for the patient group.
To deliver compassionate person-centred care, and treat patients, service users, their families and their carer's with consideration, dignity and the respect you would want for yourself or your family.
To provide relevant forms of care with minimal supervision and participate in the supervision and teaching and assessment of unregistered or junior staff and students.
To play an active part in the continuing development of the ward or department and contribute to the maintenance of an environment conducive to the delivery of high standards of patient care, by promoting good communication and relationships between staff, patients, relatives and visitors.
