Job overview

This new role is to support surgical clinics at OPD1, New cross hospital, Wolverhampton the post holder will be able to work without direct supervision.

The post holder will be responsible for completing simple health assessments of vital signs in preparation to see the specialist, frequently chaperone during consultation. 

Main duties of the job

OPD1  has an assortment of surgical and medical clinics that require dedicated Health Care Assistant support. We are a dedicated team who pride ourselves in providing a high standard of care to all who visit our department.

You should be a motivated and dedicated nurse. You should be able to demonstrate good organisation skills. You will be able to work well as part of a team, but also able to take responsibility for your own workload when required.

Your hours will be worked flexibly between 8.30am to -1800  Monday, to Friday 

The successful candidate must be a compassionate and caring person. Experience of previous work in a Health Care setting is  essential.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Good verbal and written communication skills. With a kind and compassionate nature.

You will be required to undertake patient observations of blood pressure, temperature and record clearly on clinic documentation. You will be required to assist patients during consultation, with frequent chaperone duties.
