Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for dedicated care support works to join the team on AMU1 in the rainbow unit.

If you are caring, compassionate, hardworking and thrive of a faced paced acute environment then this is the role for you.

Staff will be supported by an experienced team and also encouraged to develop in their role. 

 

Please note you must already have csw experience within the hospital as this is not a training role

Main duties of the job

The Clinical Support Worker will work together with members of the Nursing team and contribute to the implementation of a high standard and individualised patient care under the direction of a registered nurse.

The post holder will be required to communicate effectively with other members of the health care team, patients and relatives and must be able to recognise and report to the appropriate person any changes in the patient’s condition which may require the intervention of others.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • English and Maths Qualifications at one of the following academic levels/grades:- O Level - Grade A to C CSE Grade 1 only GCSE Grade A to C GCSE Grade 9 to 4 Functional skills Level 1
  • Hospital Experience as csw
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health Care
  • Care Certificate

Knowledge & Experience

Essential criteria
  • Commitment to undertaking in house training
  • previous care experience within a care setting
  • demonstrates interest in caring for patients in all clinical specialities
  • Demonstrates knowledge of duties required as a Clinical Support Worker role

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Good organisational skills
  • Experience of customer care/dealing with the public
  • Understanding of confidentiality
