This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with exceptional organisational skills, drive and motivation to lead on the Quality Standard for Imaging (QSI) accreditation for both our newly opened Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) at Cannock Chase Hospital and our primary Radiology Services at New Cross Hospital.

You will work with, and be supported by, an open and responsive team of Radiology Managers; all with previous clinical backgrounds in Diagnostic Radiology, who are passionate about quality and excellence. 

This role will allow the successful candidate to develop and influence positive and meaningful change within the service for both our patients and workforce; contributing to the already strong quality and governance framework within the department.

Applicants should have significant experience of a Radiology service and should demonstrate strong awareness of relevant National Quality and Safety Standards, IRR 17, IRMER 17, Quality Standard for Imaging (QSI) , Care Excellence Framework (CEF), CQC and NHS Resolution (NHSR) requirements.

To act as a lead in supporting the Directorate in driving and embedding quality within the culture of the Imaging Department, influencing behaviour, ensuring, and maintaining high standards of patient experience, care and best practice.

To work as part of the Imaging Directorate Governance Team with a specific focus on ensuring that the department meets the QSI accreditation requirements for imaging.  This will involve ensuring that high standards and robust governance is implemented and maintained across all modalities of the Imaging service, providing assurance of compliance with all relevant National Quality and Safety standards. 

Identifying gaps in evidence will be an essential part of the role as will working with and providing support to modality teams to ensure that documentation is developed, collated, and ratified in a timely manner in a standardised format to meet requirements within set timeframes.

To oversee Imaging’s continuous audit programme and provide support to modality teams in developing and embedding robust audit processes and the delivery of Key Performance Indicators.

Supporting and managing the Directorate’s risk management processes working alongside the Radiology governance team and other Directorates  to ensure that incidents and risks are managed in a timely manner.  Identifying trends and working with modality teams to develop quality improvement processes to reduce risk and improve quality of care for patients.

Experience
