Role Purpose:

To undertake appropriate PPM & repair works, and minor improvements within the Community, or any other properties associated with the Trust as required, also act as on-site liaison for the estates team.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

To undertake the duties of an “Assistant multi skilled”  Craftsperson, including  but not limited to:

  • Required to take part in the emergency out of hour On call Rota.
  • Water hygiene maintenance (i.e. water flushing, minor repairs etc).
  • PAT Testing.
  • Fire Extinguisher Inspections.
  • Plantroom inspections.
  • Fire alarm testing.
  • Emergency light testing.
  • Escorting for the Estate service i.e. Suppliers and Contractors and carry out appropriate repair and adjustment tasks as specified.
  • Take part in the emergency out of hour on call rota.

Clinical:

  • Responsible for ensuring the post holder understand and meets their professional responsibilities when coming into contact with clients.
  • Responsible for communicating with the clinical team on behalf of the estates manager as and when required.

Communication

Internal:            Estates and Facilities Managers and Staff, Site Clinical Managers, all other Trust Staff as and when required.

External:           Contractors and Suppliers as specified.

Knowledge and Experience

Essential criteria
  • 2 years relevant experience, good communication skills, flexible attitude to work situations.

  • Familiarity with the healthcare sector and day to day operation and maintenance of varying types of building/premises.
