Job overview
As a registered Clinical Scientist in Audiology you’ll be at the forefront of delivering audiology services to both adults and children. This involves assessing, diagnosing, and managing hearing and balance disorders.
Your expertise will contribute to meeting the auditory needs of our population, ensuring that everyone receives appropriate care.
You’ll play a pivotal role in educating and training various healthcare professionals
You will ensure that audiology services adhere to best practices and evidence-based guidelines. and identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care.
Main duties of the job
In this broad based role you would be expected to have the skills to lead clinics across adult, paediatric and vestibular services as required, but we would particularly encourage applications from scientists with experience of electrophysiological testing.
You would be based at City Health Campus but also work at our outpost clinics in Sutton Coldfield and Lyng Health Centre in West Bromwich. There will also be a requirement to work at the newly built Midland Metropolitan Hospital. As a Senior Clinical Scientist you would have opportunity to participate in service development and would be expected to contribute to the team by ensuring that clinical practice within the department is evidence based, developing clinical guidelines, protocols, and undertaking clinical audit as appropriate.

As a result, the base of this role may change to MMUH from 2024 (or beyond).
