 An exciting opportunity for a Commissioning Project Manager has arisen within the Office of the West Midlands Primary Care Commissioning Team (OWM PCC) Team.

The OWM PCC team has been established to support the 6 Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) across the West Midlands to support the ICBs to deliver delegated responsibilities, including those for General Medical Practice, Pharmacy, Optometry and Dental services.

 The OWM PCC, is hosted by Birmingham and Solihull ICB, as the employing body for this role, but the OWM PCC team supports the following ICBs:

•                       Black Country

•                       Birmingham and Solihull

•                       Coventry and Warwickshire

•                       Herefordshire and Worcestershire

•                       Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin

•                       Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent

 The Commissioning Project Manager will be responsible for a portfolio of work and projects to support across the Pharmacy, Optometry and Dentistry Commissioning teams on both transformational for example new investments, systems or services and business as usual projects, for example re tendering of clinical or non-clinical services when the contracts expire, in line with ICB objectives and patient/service users need.

• Have experience in managing multiple variable sized projects at any one time
• Be organised and flexible to the varying priorities of multiple projects and potential changing timescales
• Have experience of leading or been involved in Public Procurement projects and have an understanding of and been involved in a procurement project that complied with the principles of the Public Contract Regulations 2015 and/or Provider Selection Regime 2023.
• Be a good written and oral communicator
• Ability to present information comprehensively to a wide range of recipients
• Understand the importance of and be able to evidence how they build relationships with key stakeholders to form and then manage a project team, who may never have worked together before, but deliver the required outcomes, successfully, with the challenges that the varying availability of some stakeholders may bring
• Understand the importance of governance and be able to produce and present the required reports and documentation at such meetings, as required
• Have a passion for delivery of projects that provide services for patients (Clinical services) and contractor groups across the 6 ICBs (often non clinical services)
• Strong  analytical skills, using various IT applications relevant to the clinical services
• Be prepared to change work patterns to suit the ICBs and OWM PCC Team members
• Have a passion to improve patient outcomes
