Clinical Midwifery Educator

We have an exciting new role for a midwife to join our Professional Practice Team as a Clinical Midwife Educator with a focus on Newly Qualified Midwives.
This role is primarily to support newly qualified midwives (NQMs) throughout their preceptorship period with skills acquisition and to facilitate competence and confidence building. Also to support new staff to the Trust and rotational staff who are new to areas; supporting safe and effective care.

- Evidence of Degree level study or equivalent
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Teaching qualification and/or student assessor training
Knowledge and Nature of Experience

- Able to demonstrate expert midwifery knowledge and experience, with contemporary Labour Ward knowledge and skills
- Experience of teaching clinical skills and completing competency assessments
- Ability to motivate and support others
