Main duties of the job

The acute PICU offers excellent opportunity to manage patients with an acute mental illness that are requiring intensive care support for a short period of time. Working with a consultant psychiatrist, the day-to-day clinical management of 10 male patients will be most of the role. There will also be an opportunity to attend local prison settings on occasion with a PICU nurse to assess for suitability for prison to PICU transfers.
