Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust are inviting applications for the role of Fundamental Training Administration Team Leader based at the Uffculme Centre. You will be joining a proactive team that is always looking at ways to innovate and deliver the best service to Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust. In this role you will manage and coordinate the administrative function of the Fundamental Training team and support the Fundamental Training and Induction Lead in providing an efficient and affective administrative and training support service to the trust.  You will also deliver and coordinate Induction.

You should possess excellent written & verbal communication skills , have experience supervising staff and strong problem solving skills.

Main duties of the job

  • Responsible for the supervision of Apprentice and Band 3 Fundamental Training Administrator including conducting appraisals
  • Expected to use own initiative and able to work unsupervised, undertaking specific project work as and when necessary.
  • Must be able to plan and manage a range of complex duties, organise own work to meet deadlines and respond professionally to enquiries both internal and external to the organisation.
  • Act as first point of contact for delegates and external customers and course speakers
  • Provide front line support in dealing with bookings/cancellations for Fundamental Training and non-mandatory training, responding to queries as appropriate
  • Provide support to Core, Fundamental and Professional training lead, and the Fundamental Training and Induction Lead in the delivery and monitoring of learning and development work streams.
  • Audit training data on ESR and run reports to perform audits
  • Supporting employees to use ESR to book and complete training
  • Attend regional meetings and feedback regarding new training initiatives, delivery methods and best practice to the Fundamental Training and Induction Lead.
  • Support with training of new staff and colleagues and sharing knowledge and skills to deliver top quality customer service
  • Support the preparation of user guides, training materials and delivery of training to users for Induction and Learning Management Systems
  • Provide flexible administrative and clerical cover as required

Training Qualification

Essential criteria
  • NVQ level 4 Business administration and management or have relevant demonstrable experience in managing the administration of Learning and Development interventions.
  • English Language and Maths GSCE Grade C or above or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • Project management qualification

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Significant administrative experience
  • Experience delivering training
  • Experience supervising staff
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office, proficient in the use of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Experience of working in a highly customer focussed environment.
Desirable criteria
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Experience of developing and managing auditing processes
  • Knowledge of OLM and other data management systems
