An exciting opportunity for a Renal Patient Transport Driver (Band 2) has come up to work in the Windsor Haemodialysis Unit, which is a 24 bedded satellite unit of the Royal Berkshire Hospital Foundation Trust.
The post involves driving vehicles to transport the users of the Trust’s Haemodialysis Satellite Unit in Windsor safely to and from their place of residence, and to follow pre-determined schedules and organise routes as appropriate to transport patients safely and efficiently.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a motivated and highly enthusiastic individual to become part of our team. You will be expected to transport patients to and from their homes or place of residence in a safe and professional manner.
Previous driving experience around the local area is essential and the successful candidate will undertake a programme of Trust induction as well as mandatory drivers’ related training.
The candidate has to undertake driving duties of all types of vehicles to the required standards, ensuring patient comfort at all times and in accordance with the Road Traffic Act and DVLA regulations, subject to appropriate training being received, and to keep up to date with these regulations.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The unit is open Monday to Saturday with no night duty and you will be expected to cover all the shifts, of which there are 3, they start from 06.00 till 12.30 midnight.
YOU MUST HAVE A C1 LICENCE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR INTERVIEW.
Informal visits to the unit are highly recommended prior to short listing.
