Clinical Nurse Specialist (Palliative Care) - Full time

We have a vacancies for an experienced nurse to join our multi-professional hospital palliative care team. We are a large team of nurses, doctors, occupational therapists, counsellor and specialist administrators.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse  with experience of working with patients with a life limiting illness. Level 7 credit bearing awards including Independent Prescribing will be an advantage. However we will accept a candidate who is willing to complete the necessary qualifications.

We are looking for staff that will work 4 5 days per week, including weekends and Bank holidays.

Main duties of the job

  • To work across the trust as an expert in supportive and palliative care to enhance the quality of care provided to patients and families with these needs.
  • To provide specialist interdisciplinary support and education to other health care professionals.
  • To contribute to the development of the supportive and palliative services both locally and nationally.
  • To participate in research and audit to contribute to the knowledge base for supportive and palliative care.
