Bring your expertise and skills in ophthalmic procedures and join our multi-disciplined medical team at Practice Plus Group Ophthalmology North West. We are a forward-looking surgical centre and as such are embracing modern concepts including the use of virtual clinics and high-volume cataract surgery. 

Everything we do is focused on providing a high standard of safe and effective patient care. Our facilities are modern, employing the latest state of the art diagnostic and surgical technology with friendly and professional staff. Recently we acquired the latest Johnson and Johnson Vision Phacoemulsification Veritas machine with dual linear and dual pump capabilities for efficient and safe cataract surgery. We have strong control processes and clinical governance to ensure we maintain high standards of hygiene and above all, we’re passionate about giving our patients the best possible care and helping them feel better, faster.

What you'll be doing

Reporting to our Lead Consultant, Charles, you will perform a range of ophthalmic procedures on patients referred to the service. You will be treating both NHS and private patients referred to the service, working in accordance with our protocols and working practices.
 

As a highly valued member of the team, you will have access to great facilities in a well-structured and relaxed environment. As part of our professional, friendly and compassionate team you will do everything you can to ensure the patient’s treatment is of the highest standard by performing a range of ophthalmology procedures on patients referred to the service.

Applications from outside of the local area are welcome, there is a very generous relocation package available to support you.

What we'll look for in you

You will be a UK registered medical professional, who is :

  • listed on the Specialist GMC register
  • with experience in –
    • high volume phacoemulsification under topical anaesthesia
    • Oculoplastic (desirable)
    • Medical Retina (desirable)

Salary is competitive, but substantive employment only to be considered.
