A rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced community physiotherapist to join a well establish team. Leading a team of therapy staff working in the mid Bedfordshire area. This is a part time post working 22.5 hours a week, days and times can be negotiated upon appointment.
Main duties of the job
Operating from a variety of locations the Physiotherapy Service from Bedford Hospital provides high quality patient centred care across acute inpatients, community rehabilitation bedded units, outpatients, domiciliary, and children's services. Specialist clinical teams offer patient treatments throughout North and Mid Bedfordshire.
The speciality areas are headed up by a team of dedicated Professional Lead Physiotherapists covering the specialist teams of In-Patients, Out Patients, Paediatrics and community.
The Physio@home Physiotherapy Service provides Physiotherapy treatment across domiciliary, inpatient rehabilitation units and will integrate with, and support, other interventions such as those provided by the Rehab & Enablement teams, the Enablement service, the acute provider Navigation service, the Musculoskeletal service and the Learning Disabilities and Falls teams.
The Physio@home Service provides a holistic approach to provide assessment, treatment, prevention advice and education for housebound patients with a wide range of conditions. There are 2 team leaders within this service, locality based.

- To be a clinical lead physiotherapist.
- To work collaboratively with other members of the Physiotherapy team, the wider therapy team, and other health care professionals to develop holistic care packages for the clients on your caseload and to promote ongoing good working relationships.
- To communicate with the patients of more junior staff when offering a second opinion.
- To communicate with GPs & other staff regarding specific patients and the provision of Physiotherapy treatment and concerning the physiotherapy service as a whole.
- Be responsible for the development of your own professional practice and that of the more junior physiotherapists and support staff / students you are delegating work to.

Essential criteria
- Degree or Equivalent in Physiotherapy
- HCPC Registration
Experience
Essential criteria
- Substantial post graduate experience
Desirable criteria
- Successfully managed a developed a team
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Advanced knowledge of physiotherapy in relevant area.
- Ability to organise, prioritise and delegate.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
