Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Emergency Preparedness, Resilience & Response (EPRR) Manager, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service for the NHS across the South West region.  

 

You will be part of the NHS England (SW) EPRR Team reporting directly to the EPRR Senior Manager and will support the development and maintenance of emergency preparedness arrangements across their designated area. 

 

You will provide support and specialist advice on emergency planning and business continuity management, preparedness, response and recovery to internal and external stakeholders.

 

The role involves working with and supporting Integrated Care Boards (ICB), NHS Trusts, Local Authorities and Public Health teams across the range of emergency preparedness. 

 

You will ensure NHS England South West and local health economies are fully prepared to manage major incidents, both locally and across wider health areas in an integrated and cohesive manner.   This will be in accordance with the Civil Contingencies Act (2004), NHS England Emergency Preparedness Framework and associated emergency planning and business continuity legislation, guidance and regulation.

·       -To support the implementation of an effective Emergency Planning, Resilience and Response (EPRR) system for the NHS in the South.

·       -To develop and deliver EPRR Training packages and exercises to NHSE SW On-Call and the wider NHS

·      - To support the delivery Business Continuity. Providing support to Local Health Resilience Partnerships (LHRP’s) in delivering a joined up EPRR framework

·       -Ensuring the NHSE SW fulfils its requirements under the CCA and other associated guidance

·       -To ensure that systems, processes and information flows provide effective early warning of potential risks to service quality and partnerships and support interventions where required to ensure high quality outcomes

·       -To identify and share areas of best practice across the region and beyond in order to support continuous improvement and high-quality outcomes

·       -To work flexibly across the team to ensure that all human resource is being effectively utilised. This will mean that responsibility for specific projects and tasks will be regularly reviewed and new work allocated by appropriate mechanisms

·       -To create an inclusive working environment where diversity is valued, everyone can contribute.

·       -Participate in an on-call rota providing 24/7 cover as an EPRR Duty Advisor, giving subject matter expertise to NHS England Directors and Managers in incident response

·       -Able to travel across the region to support delivery of EPRR program
