Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 1,2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the living wage of £12 per hour - £23,465 per annum. This temporary top up will be in place until the annual pay uplift for 2024/25 is confirmed
Job overview
The post holder will work within the Paediatric Continence Service providing advice and support to children and young people and their families within Central Area, Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board
Candidates must be working towards or hold a SCPHN degree or equivalent in School Nursing with current NMC registration.
If SCHPN Registration is pending, employment will commence as B5 Community Staff Nurse until registration date.
Main duties of the job
Work within the Paediatric Continence Service providing advice and support to children and young people and their families within Central Area, Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board
To manage a caseload of children and young people making autonomous decisions regarding the management of their condition and working closely with the wider team to provide supervision eg to School Nurses
To liaise with other agencies within the local health economy to develop an effective and co-ordinated approach to client care and to provide information and education to any parties involved in care delivery.
To be aware of prescribing costs and ensure that the most effective use of resources is maintained.
To participate in audit and review of the service to monitor quality and clinical outcomes.
They will be responsible for coordinating and delegating work within a skill mix team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential criteria
- Healthcare Degree SCPHN RGN Level 1
- SCPHN / Nurse Prescriber (which level)
- Evidence of CPD to Post Graduate Diploma Level
- Teaching Qualification or experience

- Masters Degree
- Management Experience
