Job overview
We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse to join our Continence Team. We are seeking someone who is committed and caring, with the experience to facilitate and deliver the provision of high quality nursing care to patients with Continence issues. The successful candidate will have a dynamic and positive attitude towards the continued development of the Continence Services.
The post holder will act as the professional nurse lead providing pan health board clinical advice, leadership development, monitoring and management of all nursing resources for continence services, to facilitate excellent nursing practice ensuring the delivery of a high quality, patient centred continence service.
The post holder will be a clinical nurse leader, working with the area management teams, community matrons, nursing and multi-disciplinary teams to identify opportunities for service change and improvement to encourage and enable advancement and development of associated evidence based continence services.
He/she will be instrumental in developing and implementing the Clinical Governance frameworks and in giving professional advice in relation to the development of continence services, within the area
Main duties of the job
You will require proven skills and working knowledge of leading and an ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills. There will be an expectation to lead across diverse team, collaborating closely with other organisations, demonstrating excellent inter- personal and communication skills with the ability to forge and maintain relationships with a variety of clinical and non-clinical staff
It would be desirable for applicants to have experience at working at senior level within multidisciplinary teams who are keen to enhance change and provide visible inspiration.
You will be expected to provide leadership and direction to a number of team leads, in order to develop and enhance excellent standards of patient care. The roles focus will be on service improvement, ensuring high standards of quality and safety and provision of visible leadership to the geographical teams
You will require a high level of organisational skill and have a resourceful and professional approach to work. The role will also include being part of the 7 day community matron of the day role on a rota basis.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
