Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 1,2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the  living wage of £12 per hour - £23,465 per annum. This temporary top up will be in place until  the annual pay uplift for 2024/25 is confirmed

 

Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual with a high level of administrative and secretarial experience. You will need experience of the Microsoft package and other IT packages used within the Hospital will also be an advantage.  As is the ability to provide efficient, accurate and prompt secretarial support to the CAMHS Service

Main duties of the job

The post holder is required to demonstrate initiative and to work independently within defined policy where work is assessed at intervals to ensure sound administrative and data systems are in place to support the clinical teams in an efficient and effective way.

Provide efficient and effective high quality communication services involving face to face and telephone conversations.

To support colleagues in providing cover in periods of absence and to support the completion of urgent tasks in team member’s absence.

The post holder will be required to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion at all times.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • NVQ level 4 Business administration or experience or Amspar Level 3 or equivalent experience
  • OCR level 3 or equivalent qualification in keyboard skills or experience
Desirable criteria
  • Audio Typing
  • NVQ level 3 customer service
  • ILM level 2 or working towards relevant equivalent qualification

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of coordinating admininstration activities
  • Experience of minute taking and transcribing minutes
  • Experience of working as a medical secretary
  • Experience of organising workload and people and working autonomously
Desirable criteria
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Previous experience as a P.A.
  • Experience of using WPAS, referrals, booking, arriving, outcomes, data quality

Skills

  • Advanced typing skills
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Minute taking experience
