We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and self-motivated Arts in Health Senior Project Support Officer, to be part of our Arts in Health team. Based within Public Health, the team work across the region focused on arts engagement, participatory arts, and public art, all with a health and wellbeing focus for patients, visitors, staff, and the wider population. You will support a variety of creative projects and activities, ensuring their delivery and maximising their impact.

You will focus on community-based work and projects linked to Public Health; from workshops in community settings, to supporting the promotion of health and prevention of ill health through creativity. There may also be opportunities to support a wide-range of projects including healthcare-site-based projects and activities including public art and workshops, digital arts in health resources, activities, and toolkits.

Main duties of the job

·        Facilitate the delivery of a range of exciting and varied arts in health projects, activities / events, coordinating a range of partners including: artists, funders, cultural and support organisations, as well as health services and teams.

·        Ensure projects are delivered on time, in scope and budget.

·        Capture project feedback through various methods for sharing and reporting.

·         Communicate across teams and partners to share events, stories, & updates as appropriate.

·         Help prepare reports both internally and externally for sharing with funders, partners, staff, and the wider public. 

·        Support creating and developing arts in health toolkits and resources, high quality reports and plans, to ensure the success of the arts in health and wellbeing programme.

·        Actively work in partnership with a range of external partners / stakeholders and across BCUHB teams & services, developing relationships and rapport, communicating decisions personably and effectively.

·        Work sensitively within a range of health contexts ensuring confidentiality and handling sensitive information with care and in a professional manner.

·        Provide clear & regular project updates, maintaining excellent communication across the team.
