We are a partnership of 10 north central London NHS trusts whose purpose is to deliver high quality and better value shared NHS corporate services at scale.

Launched on 1 December 2021 with transactional recruitment services, our experienced and knowledgeable team help staff across our network to access the information, systems and processes they need quickly and seamlessly, allowing staff to focus on the frontline and enabling the best use of NHS resources.

The NLPSS board is made up of executive-level representatives from each trust in the partnership who agree on an annual business plan which is executed by the managing director. Within this structure, individual services are accountable to the managing director, who reports to the board.

NLPSS is hosted by The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, acting as the legal entity, contracting authority and main employer of staff.

Job overview

We are looking for Band 3 Recruitment Services Officers to support the NLPSS hiring and Medical & Dental rotations teams during the busy period of trainee doctors’ rotations.  Roles will either be based in one team or split across both teams.

The medical & dental rotations team manages the administration of the doctor’s training rotations for six trusts within NLPSS.  Duties include issuing offer/contracts to trainees, completing changes on ESR and responding to queries.

The hiring team are responsible for hiring new starters onto ESR system for payroll purposes and entering pre-employment check details. You'll be part of a team responsible for keeping our ESR system accurate and up to date for some of the largest NHS Trusts in London.

Please note that the roles are based in Enfield, Civic Centre EN1 3ES.  You will be expected to work full time in the office initially during training, and then moving to home working for 2 days per week (as per team leaders sign off).  The interviews will take place at this site.

The post will be fixed term for 6 months.  We are aiming for a start date of the beginning of May 2025 until the end of October 2025, subject to pre-employment clearances.

The post holder will provide a high quality, responsive, streamlined service to managers and employees within the trust which includes: 

  • Data Entry (Both numeric and non-numeric) into ESR system
  • Ensuring that Managers and Employees are provided an accurate and quality service.
  • Ensuring that all administrative KPI’s are adhered to.
  • Working within the policies and procedures, ensuring that audit requirements are met at all times and deadlines are strictly adhered to.
  • Appropriate application of Data Protection rules.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Relevant and significant clerical/administrative experience in a busy office.
  • Experience of working within a customer focused environment /customer service skills
  • Demonstrable understanding of and commitment to equal opportunities, health and safety and data protection.
  • Experience of managing a varied workload, often under pressure.
  • Experience of maintaining computer and manual records accurately.
  • Experience of Excellent attention to detail

Qualifications
