An opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced CBT therapist (or equivalent) to join the Veterans NHS Wales Service (VNHSW) https://scanmail.trustwave.com/?c=261&d=pfjw5JFHCiZ7Kqgpkfyzf6_Dn4yDGudybuqoRoMRww&u=https%3a%2f%2fwww%2eveteranswales%2eco%2euk%2f established in 2010 and funded by Welsh Government. VNHSW is a specialist primary care service that offers outpatient psychological therapy. The client group is ex-military personnel with mental health and social difficulties related to their military service.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be part of the National VNHSW team and will work with colleagues locally in BCUHB to:
- Provide veterans with a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment that accurately assesses their specific needs
- Develop and facilitate the delivery of individual care management plans
- Provide out-patient high intensity evidence-based psychological interventions as recommended by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) Guidelines
- The post holder will offer therapy to patients who have a range of complex mental health and social problems
- and sign post to other services and agencies involved in the care of veterans, to promote multi-agency working to improve outcomes for veterans based on the recovery model
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
