Job overview

An exciting opportunity has become available at Denbigh Community Hospital.  We are looking for a Band 6 Junior Ward Sister to work as a member of the Community Hospital Team in providing effective leadership with support of the Band 7 Ward Manager.  You will be expected to supervise and manage a team of nurses providing skilled, clinically effective, high quality care for your patients. 

This post is an exciting development opportunity for a trained nurse to become a pivotal part of a dedicated multi-disciplinary team in providing holistic care for it's patients.       

Main duties of the job

Provide management and organisation of a clinical area.  

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate evidenced-based nursing care within a quality, recovery focused service for patients.   

Contribute to the education, development and line management of other staff members (registrants and non-registrants).   

Work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families.  Undertake management responsibilities in the absence of the Ward Manager.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • 1st Level Nurse NMC Registration.
Desirable criteria
  • Management qualification and /or management experience.

Experience

  • Significant experience of working either within the clinical speciality or a relevant nursing role .

  • Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team setting.

Aptitude and Abilities
