A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work as a Band 6 Physiotherapist, to work in the MSK outpatient department at Colwyn Bay Community Hospital.

The physiotherapy service in BCUHB offers a whole career pathway to Band 8A as an advanced clinical practitioner. Service improvement and development is encouraged and all staff have access to regular supervision and training.

Excellent support, supervision and in-house training provided.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive and motivated individual who has an interest in musculoskeletal therapy and the ability to engage well with their patients.

We need a therapist  with excellent clinical reasoning skills in musculoskeletal medicine, who can work independently as well as part of a team under appropriate supervision, who is an advocate for post-graduate training and who will fully support innovative ways of working, best practice and training,

The applicant should be able to demonstrate relevant musculoskeletal / orthopaedic experience.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy
  • HCPC registration
Desirable criteria
  • Membership of appropriate professional post-graduate training body
  • Relevant Special/Clinical interest group membership
  • Clinical educators course

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Significant Post Registration Experience
  • Evidence of core rotations
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of contribution to CNG or working parties
  • Experience in the relevant speciality
  • Experience of working in an NHS environment as physiotherapist and MDT/ multi-agency working where relevant
